WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION: The POGIL Facilitator Training Workshop is a 3-day POGIL professional development workshop with a focus on workshop facilitation. It will provide training in student-centered teaching techniques and has been developed to train participants to become skilled workshop facilitators for The POGIL Project.
The workshop is designed for those who attended the 2014, 2015, 2016 or 2017 Regional workshops, the 2017 National Conference for Advanced POGIL Practitioners (NCAPP) or those who have previous POGIL workshop experience. Participants will be prepared and encouraged to run a 1/2 inquiry-based learning workshop on their home campuses at the conclusion of this 3-day experience.
The workshop will be held at the University of St. Thomas beginning on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. and ending at Noon on Thursday, July 26, 2018. Participants should plan to arrive on Monday, July 23, 2018 for registration and check-in.
REGISTRATION COST: The registration fee is $800 which includes registration, materials, on-campus housing for the nights of July 23rd, 24th & 25th (checking out on the 26th), 3 breakfasts, 3 lunches and 3 dinners. A limited number of need-based scholarships are available for those who do not have professional development funds. Space is limited to 20 attendees.

HOUSING DETAILS: You will be staying in Morrison Hall, which is comprised of air-conditioned apartment-style suites. Each suite has four individual bedrooms, two private bathrooms and a kitchenette with a refrigerator.
