In this web-based session, facilitators Teresa Bixby (Lewis University - Romeoville, IL) and Urik Halliday (Von Steuben Metropolitan Science Center - Chicago, IL) will provide strategies for addressing non-compliant students in the POGIL classroom.  By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • identify common non-compliant behaviors that affect learning in POGIL classrooms
  • describe attempted solutions to the non-compliant actions and behaviors
  • compare and contrast attempted solutions
  • construct practical strategies to adjust the behaviors of non-compliant students
NOTE:  Participants will need to be able to access Google Drive during the event.

Registration for this event is limited to 30 people.  Registrants will be sent a Zoom meeting invitation approximately 1 week prior to the webinar.  

Please note that the session begins at 7:00 PM Eastern Time.  The session is scheduled for 60 minutes but the facilitators will remain available to answer questions at the completion of the session.

Cancellation Policy:  Should you need to cancel your registration, please contact Julie Boldizar at julie.boldizar@pogil.org.  Registered participants who cancel by October 17, 2019 will receive a refund minus a $5 administrative fee.  No refunds will be given for cancellations received after October 17, 2019.
