This virtual event is an introductory workshop and is designed for those with limited or no previous exposure to POGIL. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in POGIL activities, observe facilitation strategies firsthand, and learn about POGIL classroom implementation.

After attending this session, participants will be able to:

  • list the essential elements of POGIL pedagogy and philosophy
  • list desirable student learning outcomes supported by POGIL pedagogy
  • collect strategies to begin implementing POGIL in the classroom

*Participants who attend this Fundamentals of POGIL Workshop are qualified to attend the Activity Writing Virtual Workshop on July 27-31, 2020.

Technical Specifications

For this workshop, you will need to connect to Zoom via a computer with video and microphone/sound capabilities. Using a smartphone or iPad is not recommended.  Technical specifications for participation in this virtual workshop can be found in our Virtual Workshop Policy.

Workshop Materials

A packet of materials will be sent to you in advance of the workshop to the address you provide during registration.  Please note: If you are located outside of the United States or Canada, you may incur an additional fee for shipping costs.  We will contact you prior to shipping to discuss this fee.

Workshop Cancellation Policy

A $20 administrative fee will be retained for cancellations received by July 2, 2020.  No refunds will be issued for cancellations after July 2, 2020.
