A key feature of a high-quality POGIL activity is that it has a robust model. Activity authors will often use a textbook illustration or diagram as their model. However, these may or may not be sufficiently robust.
In this session, facilitators Laura Trout (Lancaster Country Day School) and Michael Garoutte (Missouri Southern State University) will discuss the characteristics of robust models, and work through several examples of making a not-so-robust model into something that can be used effectively in a POGIL activity.
Registration for this event is limited to 36 people. Registrants will be sent a Zoom meeting link 2 days prior to the webinar. Please note that the session begins at 7 PM Eastern Time (6 PM Central/5 PM Mountain/4 PM Pacific). The session is scheduled for 75 minutes.
Cancellation Policy: Should you need to cancel your registration, please contact Julie Boldizar at julie.boldizar@pogil.org.
