The POGIL Project's 3-day summer workshop provides instructors from both high schools and colleges/universities with a significant opportunity to obtain professional development and to gain new insights into teaching and learning.
On the first day of the workshop, those who are new to POGIL will attend a Fundamentals of POGIL session while those participants who have previously attended a POGIL workshop will attend two sessions of universal application. The start of the second day will expose all participants to Modeling a POGIL Classroom. For the remainder of the workshop, participants will follow a series of sessions focused on their chosen interest area -Activity Writing or Classroom Facilitation. While the workshop focus is on STEM disciplines, POGIL methodology is widely applicable and attendees from all disciplines are encouraged to attend.
WORKSHOP COST
Workshop fee, which includes registration, materials, lunches and dinners, is $525. Early birds who register by March 31 pay only $495. On campus housing (optional) for 2 nights is available for an additional $227 and includes accompanying breakfasts.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
A limited number of scholarships are available to individuals who meet the following criteria:
1. Be a K-12 teacher who teaches in a rural county within the United States or its territories OR be a K-12 teacher in a school with at least a 70% minoritized student population OR be an educator at a Historically Black College or University, Hispanic Serving Institution, or Tribal College.
2. Have limited or no access to professional development funds.
3. Have a commitment to student-centered learning.
