Event Description:
This 90-minute session is a training for those interested in reviewing and authoring activities submitted to the POGIL Activity Clearinghouse (PAC). Collaborative Feedback Training (CFT) provides you, the participant, with an opportunity to engage with the learning cycle and process skills rubrics which are used to build high quality POGIL activities. Before the session, you must complete a review of an example activity using the POGIL rubrics. (This task should take 30 - 60 minutes.) Then, you'll bring your scores to discuss with other participants to calibrate the use of the rubric in subsequent activity reviews. Common issues found in the example activities will be highlighted as well.
The POGIL Strategic Plan 3 prioritizes the fiscal health of the project. To align PAC activities with SP3, we request that each CFT participant pay a non-refundable $20 administrative fee. This fee helps defray the costs of running the CFT and the PAC. If the cost is a barrier to your participation, please see the registration form for fee waiver procedures.
Communications about completing the review for this training and the meeting Zoom link will come from the PAC website (https://pac.pogil.org/index.php/pac) and email (pogilpac@gmail.com). Registration confirmation and event reminder emails will come directly from The POGIL Project.
This training (CFT) is required for anyone who wishes to be either an author or a reviewer on the PAC.
For participants who wish to receive feedback on an activity they are writing, the PAC provides an optional follow-up session called Collaborative Peer Feedback (CPF). Information about CPF meetings can be found on the PAC website.
