Faculty often encounter significant challenges when managing non-ideal student behaviors and unexpected situations that disrupt the learning environment. Issues such as chronic disengagement, academic dishonesty, emotional outbursts, and boundary-testing interactions require thoughtful, consistent, and compassionate responses.

Join facilitators Hanae Hanouari (New Jersey City University), Urik Halliday (Von Steuben Metropolitan Science Center), and Mare Sullivan (Seattle Pacific University, retired) in a discussion that focuses on identifying practical and adaptable strategies that:

  • support student learning while maintaining faculty well-being
  • uphold classroom integrity
  • foster a positive and supportive learning environment
