POGIL Book Club - Fall 2025

Missed the first two sessions or just want to hear what author Jonathan Zimmerman has to say? No problem! Go ahead and register - we look forward to having you join the club for our last session on November 24th.

The POGIL Networks Task Force, in collaboration with the Affinity Groups Strategic Team, invite you to join our Fall 2025 POGIL Book Club. We'll be reading and discussing Jonathan Zimmerman’s The Amateur Hour: A History of College Teaching in America.

(The book is available from Johns Hopkins University Press and through Amazon in both print and e-book versions.)

• The book club sessions will take place this fall on the last Monday of the month, from 8-9 pm Eastern (7-8 pm Central/6-7 pm Mountain/5-6 pm Pacific).
• Each session is free but registration is required in order to be sent the Zoom link.
• Register once for all dates
• • September 29 - Introduction & Chapters 1-2
  • October 27 - Chapters 3-6
  • November 24 - Chapters 7-epilogue
