This event invites POGIL instructors of all teaching levels and POGIL experience levels to join one or both sessions (10:00 am–1:00 pm ET and/or 2:00–5:00 pm ET - you'll indicate which in the registration) to do something simple but powerful: be a student.
You’ll work through a small set of activities that currently have little or no classroom feedback. These activities were developed by experienced authoring teams and are well on their way—but they need fresh eyes and authentic “student-experience” feedback to reach our high-quality designation.
Activities span high school biology and chemistry, AP Environmental Science, and general science skills, but you do not need to teach these subjects to participate. Instead, you’ll collaborate in teams to simulate the student experience and provide electronic feedback on clarity, flow, pacing, and overall usefulness.
As a thank you, participants who attend at least one session may choose one of the following:
A $50 reduced registration fee for the POGIL Practitioner Collaborative, or
A free copy of any POGIL book offered by Flinn
